King of the Hill Car Show

The King of the Hill Car Show is back! The 2010 show has come and gone, but look forward to the 2011 show at the Newport Hills Community Church on August 13, 2011. For updates on show status as the date draws near, check out the posts page.

    In regards to the car show, now that the Red Apple Market has closed, will this event be taking place this year?

    There is no confirmed location yet, but the organizers of the car show are looking at several venues around Newport Hills.

    Is there someone I can contact about participation in this years car show? We currently have a 69 Shelby I would like to enter hopefully. Thank you very much:)

    It looks like the car show will be on hiatus this year…with plans to resume next year with new sponsorship and, hopefully, a brighter economic outlook.

    I am so sad to hear about the cancellation of our neighborhood car show. We have participated every year since 2004. I was talking to Barry at Chevron about the possibility of doing a rod run instead if enough people are interested. Is there anyone I can talk to about that?

    After the difficult decision to cancel last years car show due the the Red Apple closure and unfortunate economics, we will be forming a 2010 car show committee.
    On Monday March 29, 2010 @ 7:30pm we will hold a meeting at the Newport Hills Community Church to discuss the details of the 2010 car show.
    All interested are encouraged to attend.
    Topics of discussion; location, volunteers needed, activities, awards, etc.
    Pass this invite along to any car-crazy enthusiast in our neighborhood.
