The Newport Hills Community Club, the Newport Hills Community Church, the City of Bellevue and our local merchants are hosting the 11th annual 4th of July Celebration. Festivities include a children’s parade, an old fashioned picnic, live performances, field games, prizes, arts, and lots of fun the traditional Newport Hills way!
This exciting event begins with Mr. Ed Raftery in his 1928 all original Model A Ford Roadster Pick-up and the color guard leading the children’s parade with decorated bikes, trikes, wagons and strollers around the track at Bellevue’s Ringdall Middle School.
After the parade a traditional flag ceremony is presented by our local Cub Scouts chapter followed up with an old fashion picnic. Hamburgers, hot dogs, cheese quesadillas, potato salad, fresh fruit and other delicious picnic dishes are prepared and served up by your Newport Hills volunteers and neighborly local officials. A very special THANKS to our local Mustard Seed Grill & Pub together with Newport Hill’s Chevron and Jeffrey Johnson DDS for their continued and generous donations which sustains and cheers on this celebratory neighborhood event!
As part of Newport Hill’s annual celebration of the Fourth of July, the Newport Hills Community Church choir members perform a wonderful selection of old time favorites and patriotic songs followed by local performing artists (Cornerstone Dance Theater & cultural dancers), martial arts (Lee’s Martial Arts), various booths and our local cub scouts chapter. Additional music provided by Seattle Sound DJ.
Fun activities during the Picnic include: water balloons, face painting, kid’s games, sports, Dizzy’s Tumble Bus, various display booths and our neighbor, Attorney General Rob McKenna along with other elected officials may be joining us to flip burgers and chat with neighbors. PLUS a potential visit from the Fire Department with a real fire engine. Frisbees, tug-of-war and other fun games are also popular with the kids.

Hi Meredith,
Thank you for your continued interest in the NHCC July 4th Picnic and Parade! The 2011 NHCC July 4th Picnic and Parade will be celebrated Monday, July 4th in Newport Hills. Many neighbors enjoyed your booth last year… are you interested in providing the same this year? The Humane society is such a great cause!

Is this event going to be on the third again this year? Or on the fourth, like last year?
