Each year on the Saturday before Easter the Newport Hills Community Club sponsors the Spring Egg Hunt. The event is now held at the NEW Newport Hills Elementary School on 119th Ave. SE.
There are actually several separate egg hunts based on the ages of the children. Children from ages 2 to 10 are invited to come to find chocolate eggs and other delights scattered around the playground at Newport Heights Elementary School. The hunt begins with the youngest children at 9:00 AM sharp – followed by four age groups, so all children will have some fun. A real live Bunny (about the size of a person) always shows up to make it special for the smaller children. Great time for family pictures.
