5/24 General Membership Meeting with update from CENSE

Please join us on 5/24, 6:30-8:30 p.m., at the NH Swim & Tennis Club banquet room for our May General Membership Meeting.

Agenda: Board reports, including presentation of the 2017-2018 budget; shopping center updates; upcoming events in the neighborhood.

FEATURED SPEAKERS: Don Marsh & Steve O’Donnell, co-founders of CENSE (Coalition of Neighborhoods for Sensible Energy), will give an update on PSE’s Energize Eastside project and what CENSE has discovered during Phase 2 of the EIS (Environmental Impact Scoping). They will also discuss how NH residents can get involved and make their voices heard. The Energize Eastside project is an 18 mile project from Renton to Redmond that will replace existing 115 kv power lines/poles with larger & taller 230 kv lines/poles. PSE’s preferred route, Willow, would run through the SE section of Newport Hills adjacent to the Olympic Pipeline, which will impact Newport Hills residents living along the pipeline corridor.
